Be remembered
Don't just be heard, be remembered
Ok, this is nice. I received several supporting and enthusiastic replies on my first newsletter. That’s motivating! In the meantime we are almost 200 here. 😳What?! Wow wow wow! Thank you for this! Thanks for all the support, you are the best! 😍
This Branding Donkeys Newsletter is sent every week until I decide to stop. Please forward this to ONE friend today and tell them either to subscribe here or to be more curious about life. (I will repeat this every week. It is my call to action. My what? Please read on to discover what I’m talking about!)
Wisdom
I am writing to you from 9000 meters above ground because I'm on a trip to New York with my lovable (ok sometimes lovable, there are teenagers involved) family. Life is good, and I’d like to share a piece of wisdom that I have learned during the last months.
You know or you don’t, but usually we attack our problems like we are pitbulls on a bone. We work long hours, we stress, we “fight” it. But it turns out, that might not be the golden ticket to success. I know, shocking! The magic happens when we do the opposite. When we just let go, kick back, and let our minds breath. It's like the universe saying, "Relax, I got this."
When your problems or challenges are giving you headaches, do not work harder or longer. Just stop right there! Take a step back and grab a metaphorical margarita (or a real one, sometimes day drinking is the solution haha. No it’s not). Have a laugh, a breath and let the solutions find you when you least expect it.
I tell you, it really works! I had to pay a coach hard money to discover this, and you are getting this for free. You are so welcome. Sending you good vibes from above the clouds! ✨
Mastered the art of SEO
No words. This is too genius.
Call to action
I’m not talking about mine, but yours!
Too often I see people not taking the full advantage of an opportunity. Always, I mean always, think of which call to action you’d like to share when you are invited, interviewed or whatever opportunity you have to pitch your business. Imagine this: You're on a podcast, sharing your passion for your service or product. The audience is hooked, you are feeling great because you just managed to create some extra awareness. Nice! But you can do better! Don't just turn that free experience into a ZERO BUDGET experience. It's not just about seizing the moment, it's about making it work for you! Think engagement. Think sales!
Build Your community: Don't stop at a one-time interaction. Use this opportunity to grow your community. Encourage podcast listeners or event visitors to subscribe to your newsletter or follow you on social media. Your network is your net worth.
Create a Buzz with Discounts: Transform that free exposure into a sales generator. Offer more than just words—provide an exclusive, generous discount code that turns listeners into customers. Make it generous, make it irresistible. Your audience will love you for it, and your bottom line will thank you!
Why Settle for Exposure When You Can Create Impact? Your call to action is the secret sauce that transforms opportunities into successes. So, the next time you're in the spotlight, ask yourself, "How can I make the most of this moment?" Don't just be heard, be remembered.
Copywriting hack
If you want to remembered, don't just write; spark! Dull texts are the camouflage of forgettable content. Instead, infuse your words with life and energy. The following tip comes from an account I found by accident one day while scrolling on Twitter (now X, excuuuuuse me). It is called The “almost” exaggeration method and it is a super sick technique. (Follow @JustCopyTips for more copywriting tips!) So here it goes, it is super simple:
When you are describing something, write “(almost) and then … exaggerate.
You need an example? Et voila:
“Durable Indoor Plants”, write “(Almost) Unkillable Plants.
“Quick and Easy Recipes”, write (Almost) Effortless Recipes
“Comfortable Mattresses”, write '(Almost) Sleep-on-a-Cloud Mattresses
And so on.. Try to stay interesting when you write, people nowadays have the attention span of … hello, you are still there?
Brand Love
To get your last bit of attention: here is some fun spooky marketing created for Ikea in 2020. I think it’s brilliant! Their tagline: The Fearniture Collection. Love. it. Great concept.
Thinking about my metaphorical margarita now.
To those who are also enjoying holidays: have a blast. To the others, good luck!
See you next week 👊
