Wake up ➡️

If you resist change, you are resisting life

Goodmorning!

Do you ever feel like it's almost 2024, but in your mind, it's already approaching 2025 because you've been planning marketing budgets and content shizzle for over six months?

I heard an interesting story this week about growing old(er) and how we (difficultly) deal with change. The story is told by this man, a yogi with a lot of wisdom they say. Anyways, I believe him!

Change becomes difficult as we get older. Because by then, we have found cocoons of comfort. When you are young, you are not looking for comfort, you are looking for life. But when you grow older, you are not looking for life anymore, you are looking for comfort and safety.
In the beginning of your life, you have wild dreams about what you want to do. But in your twenties, you become practical and cut many things. By the time you are thirty, your only wish is to just not to be in trouble. That’s enough. That’s your wish. But that's the point when you actually start getting into trouble. You get depressed.

The more security-oriented you are, the more disturbed you will be with every change that happens in your life. The essence of physical existence is change. Everything is changing. Nothing is constant.”

Listen or read very this carefully now ➡️  “If you resist change, you are resisting life.” So what the yogi man wants to say to you is: change is good. And breath from time to time!

That’s a good morning on monday, no? Everybody awake? 🤣

So change is coming to us, people. I already wish you a very happy new year!
In 2024 there will be a lot of new trends, also in the content space. (And I’m not only speaking about AI. But agreed AI, will take a big part 😅) I made a list of things I saw passing by the last few weeks, or even months. And guess what, there was never a better time for creating creative content than 2024.

⭐️ Less technical work, more content
A lot of content creators say that the main impact they expect AI to have on their work is to make it easier, because tools will save them time.

🐁 Minimalist design is out
Surrealist visuals become the norm thanks to AI tools

🌐 Niche Communities:
Groups and communities with specific interests will do well, bringing together people who share similar interests. Partnering with nano creators with a smaller but more loyal community will allow brands to connect with divers and niche audiences.

🕸 Meaningful connections:
GenZ will use social media mostly to keep up with their friends and family. A close second is to stay on top of trends (Fashion, Music, Tech).

🌼 Personalisation is CRUCIAL
People love to be a part of their own experiences. Whether it's changing a video's speed or playing with photo filters, we all just want to see a post that makes us say, "Oh yeah, me too!" and feel that warm, connected feeling inside! Spotify Wrapped is a good example of how making things personal can go viral.

🗑 De-Influencers
What are de-influencers?! They show their followers on what not to buy, questioning the value of expensive items and promoting awareness about sustainability and ethical considerations.

🛍️ Social Commerce Integration:
Shopping on social media is the new norm. Brands will leverage platforms for seamless shopping experiences.

🎭 Immersive Experiences:
AR filters and interactive content will transform the way users engage, making experiences more immersive and entertaining.

⛔️ Out With the Old

🖌Overly Curated Content:
The “perfect” staged Instagram posts are out. The age of heavily edited and overly polished content is fading. Authenticity is the new king.

🚫 Static Posts:
Non-engaging, boring text posts without pictures or interactive stuff are not popular anymore. Now, pictures and interactive things are what people like the most.

🙈 Disregard for Privacy:
User privacy and data security are non-negotiable. Keeping user info safe is a must. Platforms need to make it a top priority.

BrandLove

Love the Christmas advertorial creativity of brands this time of year. Mercedes is certainly one of the winners!

That’s it for this week! Like everybody else I have to finish a looooooot of work before friday. I wish you a wonderful time with your family and friends. See you in two weeks. Happy holidays, and a happy New Year! 🎄🎆
